  • The ball for the 48th edition of the CONMEBOL Copa América 2024™ was unveiled during the draw for the Group Stage of the competition.
  • Cumbre represents the passion of the continent’s football, the values and characteristics of the competition, as well as the connectivity that the tournament generates between nations across the Americas.

The alliance between CONMEBOL and PUMA has already started its way to the top of continental football. During the draw for the Group Stage of the CONMEBOL Copa América™, which took place in Miami on December 7, PUMA Cumbre was presented, the main ball for the tournament that will be played from June 20 to July 14, 2024 in the United States.

The name PUMA Cumbre is inspired by the mountain range that crosses the Americas, seeking to leave football in the region at the top. Its design is based on the shape of the continent. Its 16 lines refer to the total number of countries that will make up the CONMEBOL Copa América 2024™. In this way, the ball seeks to unite all the nations that will compete in the oldest and most exciting national team cup in the world.

The official ball features high-end technology with FIFA Quality Pro guarantees for the highest level of performance. The design consists of 12 sealed panels that provide a perfectly balanced weight balance with enlarged and deep seams that guarantee a positive effect on aerodynamics. In addition, a PAL (PUMA Air lock) valve ensures air retention. PUMA is known for always being at the forefront of design and technology. PUMA Cumbre is an example of this.

The CONMEBOL Copa America™ ball will roll for the first time on Thursday, June 20, 2024, at the Mercedes-Benz Stadium in Atlanta, where the opening match of the competition will be played. The product will be available at major retailers in Latin America and on PUMA.com. Those interested in attending the CONMEBOL Copa America matches 2024™️ can log on to www.copaamerica.com

ABOUT CONMEBOL:

The South American Football Confederation, better known as CONMEBOL (which comes from the acronym used in cable releases: Confederación Sudamericana de Fútbol), is the confederation of national football associations (federations) of South America.

Founded on 9 July 1916 in Buenos Aires, it is the first Confederation in the world, created almost 40 years before the ones that followed.

CONMEBOL was born out of the idea of a tournament between countries of the South American continent. The first Copa América, held in 1916 in Buenos Aires in commemoration of the centenary of Argentina’s independence, was the beginning of this institution, originally composed of the associations of Argentina, Brazil, Chile and Uruguay. Subsequently, the other South American associations joined CONMEBOL: Paraguay (1921), Peru (1925), Bolivia (1926), Ecuador (1927), Colombia (1936) and Venezuela (1953).

It is the only football confederation in which all its member associations are also affiliated to FIFA and the International Olympic Committee (IOC).

Its ten member National Associations are the pride and joy of CONMEBOL.
