  • The second window, the last before the big event, will be from June 3rd to 11th.

The friendly matches window in the FIFA date and also the Nations League closed, with activity from the teams that will participate in the CONMEBOL Copa América United States 2024™.

Sunday, March 24th

Ecuador 0-2 Italy: Lorenzo Pellegrini and Nicoló Barella scored the goals for the last European champion of the Euro Cup. For the South Americans, it was the starting debut of Allen Obando, the 17-year-old young starlet.

Guatemala 0-0 Venezuela: a draw for Vinotinto in a historic match for Tomás Rincón, who became - with 132 matches - the player with the most appearances in the Venezuelan national team.

 

Monday, March 25th

Bolivia 1-0 Andorra: with a goal from their talented number 10, Ramiro Vaca, La Verde managed to secure an important victory in the closing of their friendly matches window.

 

Tuesday, March 26th

Uruguay 1-2 Ivory Coast: setback for the South American team that came from a draw against Basque Country. An own goal by Olivera put the Africans ahead at the start of the match, La Celeste equalized with fifteen minutes to go but in the end Guela Doué scored the definitive 2-1.

Colombia 3-2 Romania: another victory for the Cafeteros who extended their unbeaten streak to 21 matches. Córdoba, Arias, and Asprilla marked the partial rout for Néstor Lorenzo's team and at the end of the match, the European goals came through Ianis Hagi (son of the legendary Gheorghe) and Tanase.

France 3-2 Chile: La Roja suffered a close defeat against the reigning world runner-up. Marcelino Núñez had opened the scoring for Gareca's team but then Wesley Fofana, Randal Kolo Muani, and Olivier Giroud scored for the Europeans; Darío Osorio scored the final consolation goal.

Spain 3-3 Brazil: the match of the day was played at the Santiago Bernabéu in Madrid and started with a 2-0 lead for the Europeans (Rodrigo Hernández and Dani Olmo) but the Seleção managed to equalize thanks to a goal from Rodrygo and a new goal from Endrick. With three minutes to go, Rodrigo Hernández put the home team ahead again; in injury time, Lucas Paquetá maintained Dorival Junior's unbeaten run.

Peru 4-1 Dominican Republic: Jorge Fossati's team added another good victory at the start of the cycle. Peña Flores, Castillo Molina, Quispe, and Paolo Guerrero scored for La Bicolor and Jean Carlos López scored for the opponent.

Argentina 3-1 Costa Rica: the reigning champion of the tournament started losing due to a goal from Ugalde and turned it around thanks to the goals from Di María, Mac Allister, and Lautaro Martínez. Walter Benítez and Valentín Carboni debuted for Scaloni's team. The Ticos had a good performance, a few days after securing qualification for the CONMEBOL Copa América™.

-Nations League-

The United States were crowned champions of the tournament after defeating Jamaica 3-1 in the semifinals and Mexico 2-0 in the final. El Tri reached the final after defeating Panama 3-0 in the semifinal. The third place in the tournament went to Jamaica, who defeated Panama 1-0.

On Saturday, Canada and Costa Rica were added to these four teams to complete the six qualified teams for the CONMEBOL Copa América United States 2024™.

From June 3 to 11, the last friendly window on FIFA date will be played and from the 20th, the CONMEBOL Copa América United States 2024™ will begin.
