The CONMEBOL Copa América Femenina™ spans 34 years and nine editions full of iconic teams, coaches, and standout figures. Among them, the top scorers have played a vital role in pushing their teams to victory.
In the upcoming edition — from July 12 to August 2 in Ecuador — new names are expected to shine.
From Roseli to Catalina Usme, with names like Marisol Medina, Marta, and Cristiane in between, here are the top scorers of each edition:
1991 – Adriana (Brazil): 4 goals in 2 matches
The first-ever top scorer, Adriana netted 4 goals in 2 matches in the inaugural South American Women’s Championship, which Brazil won.
1995 – Sissi (Brazil): 12 goals in 4 matches
One of the early icons of Brazil’s women’s national team, Sissi scored 12 goals, including two four-goal performances (pokers) against Argentina and Bolivia.
1998 – Roseli (Brazil): 16 goals in 6 matches
Roseli holds the tournament record for most goals in a single edition: an astonishing 16 goals in 6 matches, leading Brazil to their third title.
2003 – Marisol Medina (Argentina): 7 goals in 5 matches
The first Argentine top scorer, Medina found the net 7 times in 5 games, including a four-goal match against Uruguay.
2006 – Cristiane Rozeira (Brazil): 12 goals in 7 matches

Brazil didn’t win the title that year, but Cristiane took home the Golden Boot with 12 goals.
2010 – Marta (Brazil): 9 goals in 7 matches
The “Queen of Football” left her mark with 9 goals and another Copa América title for Brazil.
2014 – Cristiane Rozeira (Brazil): 6 goals in 7 matches
Cristiane became the only player to lead the scoring charts in two different editions, adding 6 more goals to her legacy in 2014.
2018 – Catalina Usme (Colombia): 9 goals in 7 matches
A symbol of Colombia’s rise in women’s football, Usme scored 9 goals — including a poker against Uruguay and a hat-trick versus Paraguay — to win the Golden Boot.
2022 – Yamila Rodríguez (Argentina): 6 goals in 6 matches
The most recent top scorer, Rodríguez led Argentina to a third-place finish in 2022 with 6 goals in as many matches. She’s expected to be a key player again in the 2025 edition in Ecuador.
