CONMEBOL Liga de Naciones Femenina™: All you need to know about the 2027 Women's World Cup qualifiers

With the CONMEBOL Copa América Femenina 2025™ now concluded, South American teams turn their attention to the upcoming CONMEBOL Women’s Nations League 2025–26™. Being held for the first time, this tournament serves as a qualifier for the 2027 FIFA Women’s World Cup and signals a new chapter in women’s football across the continent.
Nine national teams —Argentina, Bolivia, Chile, Colombia, Ecuador, Paraguay, Peru, Uruguay, and Venezuela— will take part, as Brazil, the host nation of the next World Cup, is already qualified.

Format
Each of the nine teams will play eight matches in a single round-robin phase, facing every other side once. The competition will span nine matchdays, with one team having a bye on each date. All fixtures will align with the official FIFA International Match Calendar.
The match schedule and the team resting each round will be determined through a draw conducted by CONMEBOL.
Dates
The CONMEBOL Women’s Nations League™ will take place from October 24, 2025 (first matchday), to June 9, 2026 (ninth and final matchday). Four matchdays will be held in 2025, with the remaining five scheduled for 2026. Full calendar:

World Cup Qualification
The champion and runner-up of the CONMEBOL Women’s Nations League™ will earn direct qualification to the 2027 FIFA Women’s World Cup. The teams finishing third and fourth will advance to the intercontinental playoff for a final chance to qualify.
