Brazil, the great dominator of the CONMEBOL Copa América™ in 2025

The Canarinha triumphed in all three competitions played this year.

CONMEBOL Copa América™
  • Between February and March, they won the Women’s Beach Soccer and Women’s Futsal editions.
  • In August, they claimed the Women’s edition held in Ecuador.

The 2025 season featured three editions of the CONMEBOL Copa América™: Beach Soccer, Women’s Futsal, and Women’s Football. In all of them, Brazil was crowned champion.




Beach Soccer


Played in Iquique, Chile, between February 22 and March 2.


In the Group Stage, Brazil won three matches (9-4 vs. Peru, 13-3 vs. Venezuela, and 6-2 vs. Argentina) and lost to Paraguay 5-3.


In the semifinals, they defeated Colombia 6-4, and in the final, they had their revenge against Paraguay, winning 5-4. Rodrigo finished as the tournament’s top scorer with 10 goals.


It was Brazil’s fourth title in the history of the tournament.

Later, the Canarinha also went on to win the FIFA Beach Soccer World Cup, played in Seychelles in May.




Women’s Futsal


Played in Sorocaba, São Paulo, Brazil, between March 22 and 30.


Brazil was an unstoppable force: they won all six of their matches, scoring 38 goals and conceding just one.


Along with Argentina (second place) and Colombia (third place), Brazil qualified for the World Cup in the Philippines, the first in the history of this discipline, to be played from November 21 to December 7 this year.


It was Brazil’s eighth title in this discipline.

Women’s Football


Played in Quito, Ecuador, between July 11 and August 2.


In the Group Stage, the Canarinha defeated Venezuela (2-0), Bolivia (6-0), and Paraguay (4-1). They later drew with Colombia (0-0) and finished first in Group B.


In the semifinals, they beat Uruguay 5-1, and in the final, they once again faced Colombia in an unforgettable match that ended 4-4 after extra time. In the penalty shootout, Brazil won 5-4 to claim their ninth title in the history of the tournament.
