Sergio Agüero made his debut at «Club Atlético Independiente» in 2003, when he was only 15. His age is not a minor detail, since he was the youngest footballer to debut in «Primera División» and from that moment on, it was possible to see a player developing into a world class footballer.

«Kun» left the team of Independiente from Avellaneda, to join the «Atletico de Madrid», where he shared the squad with football legends such as Diego Forlán, José Antonio Reyes, Luis Perea, among other great players. Sergio felt very comfortable in the team from the Spanish capital and playing in Europe was a perfect fit. This was shown after scoring 101 goals in 234 matches.

After five seasons, he was transferred to Manchester City. In this latter team, Aguero exceeded everyone’s expectations. Not only did he score a great number of goals, but also, he was the one who scored the match-winning goal that led his team to win their first Premier League title after 43 years. «Kun» became the club’s record goalscorer, with 257 goals, and fourth highest-scoring player in Premier League history. This led him to become an idol for the Blues.

 

As part of Argentina national team, history was not so different. He became a two-time U-20 champion, a title-holder at the Olympic Games and a two-time runner-up in the CONMEBOL Copa America. Besides, the athlete is the third top scorer for the «Albiceleste», with 41 goals. Finally, as for continental football competitions, «Kun» has participated in 4 editions of CONMEBOL Copa América, played 19 games and scored a total of 9 goals.
