CONMEBOL Copa América 2024™ Stadiums: Allegiant Stadium

• It is one of four stadiums located in the West Coast of the United States where the CONMEBOL Copa América 2024™ will be played. It has a capacity for 65,500 people and will host three matches during the tournament. 

The Allegiant Stadium is one of the 14 stadiums that will host the CONMEBOL Copa América 2024™, located in Las Vegas, Nevada. It was inaugurated in 2020 and is the home of the NFL’s Las Vegas Raiders. 

For its construction, 28,000 tons of structural steel were used, which is heavier than the Statue of Liberty. The stadium has 44 escalators and more than 2,300 televisions. 

 

This year, Allegiant Stadium will for the first time have the honor of hosting a Super Bowl. The latest edition will be called Super Bowl LVIII. This massive event that dominates American sports and lights up televisions around the world takes place on Sunday, February 11 where The Kansas City Chiefs will face the San Francisco 49ers. 

On Wednesday, June 26, Allegiant Stadium will make its debut in the CONMEBOL Copa América United States 2024™, when it hosts the match between Ecuador and Jamaica for Group B. Ecuador has twice managed to finish fourth in the CONMEBOL Copa América™, while Jamaica is participating in the tournament for the third time. 

Two days later, on Friday, June 28, it will be the venue for the Group C match between two CONMEBOL Copa América™ champions: Brazil (the nation with the third most titles, equaling 9 trophies) and Paraguay, which managed to win it twice. In addition, both teams played each other in three finals of this tournament: two wins for the Seleção (1922 and 1949) and one victory for the Albirroja in 1953. 

The Allegiant’s farewell from the tournament will be on Saturday, July 6, when it hosts the quarterfinals between the first-place team of Group C and the second-place team of Group D.  

Before the start of the CONMEBOL Copa América 2024™, Allegiant Stadium will host the beginning of the Australian Rugby League. For the first time in its history, this prominent global sport will start a season in the United States. There will be two matches played on March 2: Sea Eagles against Rabbitohs and Roosters against Broncos. 

The stadium will have a 2024 not only focused on sports but will also include concerts by world stars such as the Rolling Stones (on May 11) and Billy Joel with Sting (on November 9).
