After reach the semifinals of the CONMEBOL Copa America Brazil 2019, the goalkeeper analyzed the game.
The goalkeeper Alisson Becker said, last Thursday after Brazil’s victory on penalty shootout against Paraguay 4-3 (0-0 in the 90 minutes), that «the Canarinha» must keep working to achieve their main objective, winning the continental tournament.
«Now we have to keep it on and continue working as we have done so far, this team deserves the result we got today, it was a draw, but we did not just want to counterattack, we also create many opportunities by managing the ball» said the Liverpool´s goalkeeper.
Allison, considered one of the best goalkeepers in the world, was key when stopping the first penalty of a shootout that ended 4-3 in favor of Brazil at the Arena do Gremio, in Porto Alegre.
«South American football is like that, we played very well (…) now we have more steps ahead before achieving our main objective, which is to win the CONMEBOL Copa America», added Allison.
Upbeat after the game, the midfielder Arthur attributed the victory to the «constant evolution» that Tite’s team is showing in the last matches and celebrated the «important pass» to the semifinals, where they will cross against the winner of the Argentina and Venezuela match this Friday.
«We created many chances, a ball hit the post, the goalkeeper saved others, but the fans supported us and we did not give up until the end,» he said.
«This qualification gives us the confidence we needed, they are going to be hard games, sometimes the ball is not going to go in, but we are focused, and we are doing what we were training this month. Now we have to think about the next opponent,» He added.
Gabriel Jesus, who gave the victory to the «Canarinha» and who also missed a penalty in the last game against Peru, was also enjoying their victory.
«I could not score the penalty in the previous match, I left upset, angry with myself, because I missed it, anxiety took over me (…) in the match the other day I did not follow the goalkeeper and I shot without seeing it.
