They scored twice in a final: Ronaldo (Brazil, 1997 and 1999) and Pablo Javier Bengoechea (Uruguay, 1987 and 1995) are the only players to have scored in two Copa América finals.

1 goal for history: José Piendibene, from Uruguay, scored the first goal in the history of the Copa América: it was on July 2, 1916, 44 minutes into the game, in the 4-0 win over Chile.
