When and where will the next South American Qualifiers take place?

Matchdays 9 and 10 of the 2026 World Cup Qualifiers are approaching.

  • Between October 10th and 15th, the two matchdays will be take place.
  • Argentina leads, while Colombia remains the only undefeated team.

The October double matchday will be the second-to-last set of World Cup Qualifiers this year. The competition will resume again in November.


From October 10th to 11th, Matchday 9 will be played: Bolivia will host Colombia in El Alto, Ecuador will play Paraguay in Quito, Argentina will visit Maturín to face Venezuela, and Brazil will take on Chile in Santiago; in Lima, Peru will face Uruguay.


On October 15th, Matchday 10 will take place, with Colombia hosting Chile (in Barranquilla), Paraguay playing Venezuela in Asunción, Uruguay and Ecuador playing at the Centenario Stadium in Montevideo; in Buenos Aires, Argentina will face Bolivia, and in Brasília, Brazil will play against Peru.


Currently, Argentina, Colombia, Uruguay, Ecuador, Brazil, Venezuela, and Paraguay (in the playoff spot) are in qualifying positions for the 2026 World Cup.

  • October 10th: Chile vs. Brazil, Estadio Nacional Julio Martínez Prádanos (Santiago, Chile)
  • October 11th: Peru vs. Uruguay, Estadio Nacional (Lima, Peru)

  • October 15th: Colombia vs. Chile, Estadio Metropolitano Roberto Meléndez (Barranquilla, Colombia)
  • October 15th: Paraguay vs. Venezuela, Estadio Defensores del Chaco (Asunción, Paraguay)
  • October 15th: Uruguay vs. Ecuador, Estadio Centenario (Montevideo, Uruguay)
  • October 15th: Argentina vs. Bolivia, Estadio Más Monumental (Buenos Aires, Argentina)
