Racing will return to an international final after 32 years: they defeated Corinthians 2-1 at home, with both goals scored by Juan Fernando Quintero.

The last time La Academia reached an international final was in the 1992 Supercopa, against Cruzeiro, the same opponent they will face again in the 2024 CONMEBOL Sudamericana. On that occasion, the Brazilian team emerged victorious.

At the 36th minute, Quintero scored from the penalty spot to level the match, and at the 39th, following a quick throw-in, the Colombian finished with his left foot. The first leg had ended 2-2.

The talented Colombian midfielder recently played in the 2024 CONMEBOL Copa América™, where Colombia reached the final for the first time in 23 years. In the oldest national team tournament in the world, Quintero played three matches, all coming off the bench.

He was not the only Racing player in the United States: Gabriel Arias was called up by Chile and played in the match against Canada in the final Group Stage match.

For Corinthians, Félix Torres and André Carrillo started, while Ángel Romero came on in the second half.

The CONMEBOL Sudamericana final will be between Racing and Cruzeiro on November 23 at the Estadio La Nueva Olla in Asunción (Paraguay).
