The CONMEBOL Copa América 2024™ Colombians who are making waves at their new clubs
Three players who shone in the United States changed clubs during this transfer window.

- Luis Díaz moved from Liverpool to Bayern Munich.
- Richard Ríos and Jhon Arias left Brazil.
Colombia had an unforgettable team at the CONMEBOL Copa América 2024™. Néstor Lorenzo’s side reached the tournament final but fell 1-0 to Argentina.
Among their standouts were Richard Ríos, Luis Díaz and Jhon Arias. All three switched clubs in this window, bringing plenty of excitement.
Richard Ríos
The talented midfielder left Palmeiras (Brazil) for Benfica (Portugal), where he has already lifted silverware: Ríos started in the 1-0 victory over Sporting Lisbon in the Portuguese Super Cup.
Luis Díaz
The speedy forward, top scorer of the CONMEBOL Copa América 2021™, moved from Liverpool (England) to Bayern Munich (Germany) and had a promising start: he won the German Super Cup and, in the league, scored one goal and provided two assists in his team’s 6-0 victory over Leipzig in the Bundesliga.
Jhon Arias
The 27-year-old forward, CONMEBOL Libertadores champion with Fluminense (Brazil) in 2023, joined Wolverhampton (England) after the Club World Cup and has already made his Premier League debut.
The three are key players for the national team, which between September 4 and 9 will be aiming to qualify for the 2026 World Cup.
