CONMEBOL Copa América™
  • Argentina looks to keep the dream of a second title alive.
  • Colombia aims to reach back-to-back Finals.

The first finalist of the CONMEBOL Copa América Femenina 2025™ will be decided this Monday, July 28, when Argentina and Colombia meet in the opening semifinal. The Rodrigo Paz Delgado Stadium will host the match, marking its first appearance in this edition of the tournament.

Argentina enters the semifinals with a perfect record, having won all four of their Group A matches—against Uruguay, Chile, Peru, and Ecuador. That flawless run fuels their hopes of claiming a second title. Coach Germán Portanova, however, will be without midfielders Betina Soriano and Carolina Troncoso, who are suspended after picking up their second yellow cards during the final group match.

Colombia will have no disciplinary absences as they fight for a spot in the Final and try to repeat their 2022 run to the decider. The team led by Ángelo Marsiglia remains unbeaten in the tournament (2 wins, 2 draws in Group B), although they were frustrated not to make the most of their advantage against Brazil (0-0), having played much of the match with an extra player. Still, Linda Caicedo, Mayra Ramírez, and the rest of the squad proved their strength.

It's worth noting that yellow card accumulations from the Group Stage will be cleared for the semifinals, except for players already suspended.

The winner of Argentina vs Colombia will advance to the Grand Final on Saturday, August 2, while the loser will compete in the Third Place Match on Friday, August 1. The second semifinal, between Brazil and Uruguay, is set for Tuesday, July 29.
