A huge win for La Bicolor on Matchday 3 of Group A at the CONMEBOL Copa América Futsal 2026™.
A quick burst of goals set the tone for Ruscica’s side: Bocanegra opened the scoring at 12’ (after a poor clearance by the Ecuadorian goalkeeper) and Taver made it 2-0 at 13’, both in the first half.
After the break, Rivera, Obando and Mallaupoma put the result beyond doubt. For La Tri, Quiroz pulled one back in the final minute.
Peru now have 6 points, will have a bye on Wednesday and will seek a place in the semifinals against Uruguay on Thursday the 29th. Ecuador will look for their first points of the tournament next Wednesday against Argentina.
