Chile ended its participation in the CONMEBOL Copa América Futsal 2026™ on a high note, defeating Paraguay.
It was not easy for La Roja to break the deadlock. Only in the 14th minute did Chile’s No. 10, Lagos, score the opening goal. Fuentealba extended the lead and Méndez pulled one back for La Albirroja before halftime.
In the second half, early on as Paraguay pushed for the equalizer, Lagos once again extended the lead — this time shooting from his own half with the opposing goalkeeper out of position. With four minutes remaining, Gamarra scored to make it 3-2.
