Paraguay bounced back and claimed their first win against Ecuador
La Albirroja secured a 4–1 victory to earn their first points in Group A.

The conclusion of Matchday 2 of the CONMEBOL Copa América Futsal 2026™ saw the hosts claim an impressive victory.
Paraguay struck early. Just 15 seconds into the match, Hugo Martínez capitalized on a poor clearance by Ecuador and scored the opening goal.
At the start of the second half, La Albirroja struck again through the same goalscorer: the No. 9 deflected a shot from Báez to extend the lead.
In the 6th minute, Solís cut inside and finished at the near post to score Paraguay’s third goal. One minute later, Ecuador pulled one back with a superb long-range strike from Serrano. In the closing stages, Hugo Martínez scored his third goal.
Paraguay will have a bye this Monday and return to action on Wednesday against Uruguay. Meanwhile, Ecuador will look for their first points against Peru on Monday, January 26.
