Venezuela opened with a win against Colombia
They claimed a 3–2 victory in their debut at the CONMEBOL Copa América Futsal 2026™

- Francia, Fernández and Terán scored for La Vinotinto.
- Colombia finished the match with one player less.
The second day of the CONMEBOL Copa América Futsal 2026™ kicked off with the Group B clash between Colombia and Venezuela, who were making their tournament debut.
La Vinotinto struck first. They had already missed a penalty, but the opening goal came from a corner kick and a well-placed shot by Francia at the near post.
Colombia equalized thanks to a great move by Clavijo, with Padilla tapping it in. However, before halftime, Robinson Romero’s side regained the lead after a good connection from Sandoval to Oscar Fernández.
Five minutes into the second half, Bruno’s team equalized once again with a long-range strike from Neme.
The match became end-to-end, and for the third time Venezuela took the lead. Playing with a flying goalkeeper, they moved the ball around until Terán unleashed a powerful shot that went in next to Sánchez’s post.
The score remained unchanged, and Colombia ended the match with a player sent off following Echavarría’s dismissal.
This Monday, Colombia will face Bolivia in search of their first win of the tournament, while Venezuela will take on Chile.
