Chile and Colombia drew and Brazil advanced to the semifinals

Chile and Colombia played a tight and highly competitive match, in what was their final game of the Group Stage.

A tense and cautious first half ended scoreless at 0-0, a result that left Colombia without any chance of reaching the semifinals.

At 11’ of the second half, Fuentealba produced a great move to break down the Colombian defense and Araya tapped in to make it 1-0.

The end of the match was electrifying: in the final five minutes, Chile suffered the dismissal of Figueroa, Colombia equalized through Neme, then took the lead with Echavarría. With 30 seconds remaining, Chacon scored an incredible bicycle kick to seal the 2-2 draw.

Colombia finished in third place and will play on Sunday for fifth place against the third-placed team from Group A. Chile, meanwhile, ended fourth and will face Paraguay on Saturday in the match for seventh place.
