Argentina cruise to victory and move closer to the semifinals

Argentina secured an important win over Ecuador, their second of the tournament, reaching seven points and taking the top spot in Group A.

With their first clear chance, La Albiceleste opened the scoring: Kevin Arrieta cut inside from the flank and fired a left-footed shot into the near post. Through a brilliant free kick, struck with the inside of the foot, Plaza extended the lead in the first half.

In the second half, Plaza himself and captain Bolo found the net to seal a 4-0 victory over Ecuador.

Argentina will face Paraguay this Thursday in search of a place in the semifinals. Meanwhile, Ecuador concluded their Group Stage campaign and will play Bolivia on Saturday for ninth place in the CONMEBOL Copa América Futsal 2026™.
