Iquique, located in northern Chile on the shores of the Pacific Ocean, has been selected as the host city for the fifth edition of the CONMEBOL Copa América Fútbol Playa™.
There, the 10 CONMEBOL national teams will pursue two main objectives: to claim the championship title and to secure a top-three finish, which guarantees qualification for the FIFA Beach Soccer World Cup Seychelles 2025™, set to take place from May 1 to May 11.
Where Have the CONMEBOL Copa América Fútbol Playa™ Tournaments Been Played?
The tournament’s previous host cities were: Santos (Brazil) in 2016, Lima (Peru) in 2018, Asunción (Paraguay) in 2022, and Rosario (Argentina) in 2023. Brazil won three editions (2016, 2018, and 2023), while Paraguay claimed the title as host in 2022.
How Are the Groups Formed?
Group A: Chile, Colombia, Uruguay, Bolivia, and Ecuador.
Group B: Brazil, Argentina, Paraguay, Peru, and Venezuela.
The competition will kick off with the Group Stage, where each team will play four matches. The top two teams from each group will advance to the Semifinals, while the teams finishing third to fifth will compete in the Final Stage to determine positions from 5th to 10th place.
