Beach Soccer World Cup: when do the South Americans play?

In Seychelles, Brazil, Paraguay and Chile will compete in the Beach Soccer World Cup starting May 1.

  • Brazil is the defending champion.

From May 1 to 11, the Beach Soccer World Cup will take place in Seychelles with the participation of the top three teams from the recent CONMEBOL Copa América Fútbol Playa 2025™: Brazil, Paraguay and Chile.


Brazil, the reigning champion, will make its debut on May 2 against El Salvador in Group D. Then, they will face Italy on May 4 (whom they defeated in the last World Cup final), and will close the group stage against Oman on Tuesday, May 6.


Paraguay will begin on Thursday, May 1 against Portugal, face Iran on May 3, and finish Group B against Mauritania.


Chile, making its tournament debut, will play against Tahiti (May 2), Spain (May 4), and their third match will be against Senegal on May 6.


The top two teams from each group will advance to the quarterfinals on May 8. Semifinals will be played on May 10, and the final and third-place match on Sunday, May 11.

Group A: Seychelles, Belarus, Guatemala, Japan


Group B: Mauritania, Iran, Portugal, Paraguay


Group C: Spain, Senegal, Chile, Tahiti


Group D: Brazil, El Salvador, Italy, Oman
