- The winner between Canada and Chile will be in a great position to qualify for the next round.
- Argentina and Peru will play at the same time to close the Group Stage for Group A.
It all comes down to this. Canada and Chile will play on the final matchday of the Group Stage of Group A on June 29 at Inter&CO Stadium in Orlando, Florida with everything to play for. Unlike the previous two matchdays in Group A when the two matches were played at separate times, Argentina and Peru will kickoff their match at the same time as Canada and Chile’s.
Argentina has already qualified for the next round after collecting six points in their first two matches against Canada and Chile. Canada, Chile and Peru will now all compete for the final Group A spot in the Quarterfinals on the final matchday. For the Canadians it is simple, defeat Chile on Saturday in Orlando and Jesse Marsch’s men will have punched their ticket to the knockout rounds. If Canada and Chile draw and then Peru does not beat Argentina, Canada also qualifies. If Peru wins and Canada and Chile draw, it’s the Peruvians who will advance.
For Chile, it’s a bit trickier. If Chile beats Canada, Peru must lose or draw to Argentina for La Roja to automatically advance to the Quarterfinals. If Chile wins on Saturday but Peru wins against Argentina, they will be tied on 4 points and who qualifies will be determined by the tiebreaker criteria.
Of course no matter what, each team knows their best shot at advancing in the tournament is leaving Inter&Co Stadium with three points. Canada, who secured their first ever CONMEBOL Copa América™ victory over Peru during Matchday two will be hoping to start a win streak. Chile on the other hand, will take the confidence gained by pushing the defending champions Argentina to their limit in Matchday two, into their most important match of the tournament so far.

Key Facts
- This will be the first meeting between Chile and Canada in the CONMEBOL Copa América. La Roja has not lost to a Concacaf opponent in the competition since 2004 (1-2 vs. Costa Rica), achieving three wins and two draws against Concacaf teams since then.
- Canada aims to become the fourth team to win more than one match in their debut edition of the CONMEBOL Copa América, following Uruguay (two in 1916), Mexico (two in 1993), and Honduras (three in 2001).
- Chile looks to avoid a goalless participation in a CONMEBOL Copa América tournament for the second time in history. The only time La Roja failed to score throughout an entire tournament was in their second participation in 1917.
- Canada's four shots on target in the CONMEBOL Copa América 2024 were taken by four different players: Stephen Eustaquio, Jonathan David, Jacob Shaffelburg, and Tani Oluwaseyi. The two Canadian players with the most shots in the tournament have yet to hit the target: Cyle Larin and Alphonso Davies (three each).
- If he plays against Canada, Claudio Bravo will reach 28 appearances in the CONMEBOL Copa América and become the player with the fifth most matches in the history of the competition, behind Víctor Agustín Ugarte (30), Zizinho (33), Sergio Livingstone (34), and Lionel Messi (36).
