The CONMEBOL UEFA Finalissima Futsal returns in 2026, bringing together four of the world's leading national teams. Brazil, Argentina, Spain and Portugal will face off on November 6 and 8 at Arena Niterói, Brazil, in the second edition of the tournament featuring the finalists of South America's and Europe's leading continental futsal competitions.

Organized as part of the cooperation between CONMEBOL and UEFA, the competition will feature two semifinals, a third-place match and a final to crown the new intercontinental champion.

Brazil and Argentina Will Represent South American Futsal

The two finalists of the CONMEBOL Copa América Futsal 2026 will represent South America in the tournament.

The Canarinha will arrive as reigning world and South American champions, having won the FIFA Futsal World Cup 2024™ in Uzbekistan and the CONMEBOL Copa América Futsal 2026 in Paraguay.

In both finals, the Brazilian national team defeated Argentina 2-1, reinforcing one of the most significant rivalries in international futsal.

La Albiceleste, meanwhile, will compete in the Finalissima for the second time. The Argentine national team finished as runners-up at the 2024 World Cup and the 2026 South American championship, reflecting their consistent presence in major international finals.

The South American rivals will meet again in Niterói, where they will compete for a place in the final.

Spain and Portugal, the European Representatives

The other semifinal will feature Spain and Portugal, finalists of the UEFA Futsal EURO 2026.

The Spanish national team will arrive after claiming their eighth European title, having defeated Portugal 5-3 in the final held in February.

Antonio Pérez was one of the standout performers in that triumph, scoring three goals in the decisive match.

Portugal, meanwhile, will enter the competition as defending Finalissima champions. In the inaugural edition, held in Buenos Aires in 2022, the Portuguese side defeated Spain in a penalty shootout to lift the trophy.

The match between the two European teams will open the competition on Friday, November 6.

Finalissima Futsal Returns for Its Second Edition

The CONMEBOL UEFA Finalissima Futsal was first held in 2022 in Buenos Aires, Argentina.

That edition brought together Portugal, Spain, Argentina and Paraguay, with Portugal claiming the title after defeating Spain in the final.

Four years later, the tournament returns with Brazil as the host nation and a new South American representative: the Canarinha, who will compete alongside La Albiceleste.

The competition will follow a knockout format, featuring two semifinals and the placement matches.

Once again, the tournament will bring together the leading futsal representatives of CONMEBOL and UEFA.
