Everything you need to know about the CONMEBOL Women’s Nations League™

The continental tournament will grant two direct spots for the 2027 World Cup in Brazil and will be contested by nine national teams between 2025 and 2026.

  • Brazil will not take part as it is the host nation of the next World Cup.
  • It will be played between October 24, 2025, and June 9, 2026.

This Friday marks the start of a tournament that will be a milestone in women’s football history: the CONMEBOL Women’s Nations League™ will be played for the first time.




Who will play in the CONMEBOL Women’s Nations League™?


Argentina, Bolivia, Chile, Colombia, Ecuador, Paraguay, Peru, Uruguay, and Venezuela will compete in the tournament.




How many teams qualify for the World Cup?


The top two teams will qualify directly for the World Cup, while the third and fourth places will play a playoff for a spot in Brazil 2027.




How will the tournament be played?


There will be 9 matchdays, divided into four windows: the first two in October 2025; the third and fourth in November–December 2025; the fifth, sixth, and seventh in April 2026; and the eighth and ninth in June 2026.


Each team will play four matches at home, four away, and will have one bye week.
