CONMEBOL Copa América™
  • The Quarterfinals will be played between July 4 and July 6.
  • The tournament will end on July 14 at Hard Rock Stadium in Miami.

CONMEBOL Copa América™ has entered its knockout phase: 8 teams are vying for the glory of winning the 48th edition of the oldest national team tournament in the world.

In case of a tie after 90 minutes, both in the Quarterfinals, Semifinals, and the Third-Place match, there will be no extra time. The regulations detail this as follows:

Article 26 - In the knockout phase, if there is a tie at the end of regular time in the Quarterfinals, Semifinals, or the Third-Place match, the winner will be determined by a penalty shootout in accordance with the rules stipulated by IFAB/FIFA.

A different scenario will unfold on July 14, when the champion will be decided. Extra time will be played before resorting to penalties:

Article 27 - Specifically for the final match, if there is a tie at the end of regular time, an extra time consisting of two 15-minute halves will be played. If the tie persists at the end of extra time, a penalty shootout will be held in accordance with the rules stipulated by IFAB/FIFA to determine the winner.

The Quarterfinals of CONMEBOL Copa América™ will be: Argentina vs. Ecuador, Venezuela vs. Canada, Uruguay vs. Brazil, and Colombia vs. Panama.
