Giovani Lo Celso transferred from Tottenham to Real Betis after the 2024 CONMEBOL Copa América™, marking the Argentine's return to the Spanish club.


At the start of the 2024/25 season, the Rosario native has been Betis’ standout player, scoring 5 goals in 5 matches: Getafe (two goals), Mallorca, Las Palmas, and Espanyol were his victims.


Lo Celso has played 369 minutes, with 13 shots on target and a passing accuracy of 87.2%.


The 28-year-old, who had already won the CONMEBOL Copa América™ in 2021, was a key figure in the 2024 final, providing the assist to Lautaro Martínez for Argentina’s 1-0 win in extra time.

Before his two titles in the world’s oldest international tournament, Lo Celso played in the 2019 CONMEBOL Copa América™, where he scored his only goal in the competition in a 2-0 win against Venezuela.
