CONMEBOL Copa América Femenina 2025™: the next big tournament of the year
It will be played in Ecuador from July 12 to August 2.

- The top two teams will qualify for the 2028 Olympic Games.
- Teams finishing third to fifth will qualify for the 2027 Pan American Games.
In 2025, two editions of the CONMEBOL Copa América™ have already been played: Beach Soccer and Women’s Futsal delivered unforgettable moments and are part of this continent’s rich history.
The third CONMEBOL Copa América™ is approaching. This time, it will be the Women’s edition, set to take place in Ecuador from July 12 to August 10.
The 10 CONMEBOL national teams will participate, divided into two groups:
Group A: Ecuador, Argentina, Chile, Uruguay, and Peru.
Group B: Brazil, Colombia, Paraguay, Venezuela, and Bolivia.
The top three teams from each group will advance to the Final Phase. The two third-placed teams will face each other to determine the fifth spot, which secures a berth in the Lima 2027 Pan American Games.
The third and fourth-placed teams will also qualify for the Pan American Games. If Peru, the tournament host, finishes between third and fifth place, an additional spot will be opened, allowing the sixth-place team to qualify as well.
The tournament finalists will earn a place in the Los Angeles 2028 Olympic Games.
Additionally, the CONMEBOL Copa América Femenina™ will not grant direct spots for the next FIFA Women’s World Cup. Starting with this World Cup cycle, there will be South American Women’s Qualifiers, which will begin later this year after the continental tournament.
The Group Stage will be played from July 12 to July 25. The Final Phase will take place from July 28 to August 2.
