The Competitions and Operations Directorate of the South American Football Confederation announced that the draw for the CONMEBOL Copa América Femenina Futsal 2025™ will be held on Monday, November 11, and can be viewed live on the Copa América YouTube channel.
The tournament will be held in Brazil from March 22 to March 30, 2025, featuring the ten national teams belonging to the CONMEBOL Member Associations.
Competition Format
The CONMEBOL Copa América Femenina Futsal 2025™ will be played in two stages: the preliminary phase (group stage) and the final phase (playoffs for 9th, 7th, and 5th places, semifinals, 3rd place match, and final). All phases will follow a single-round format. The preliminary phase will feature 10 teams, divided into two groups of 5 teams each. The top two teams from each group will advance to the semifinals. The remaining teams in each group will compete for positions from 5th to 9th (the third-placed teams will play for 5th place, the fourth-placed teams for 7th place, and the fifth-placed teams for 9th place).
The Participating Member Associations (PMAs) in the CONMEBOL Copa América Femenina Futsal 2025™ are representatives of the following countries: Argentina, Bolivia, Brazil (host), Chile, Colombia, Ecuador, Paraguay, Peru, Uruguay, and Venezuela.
Draw Methodology
The top seeds for each group in the CONMEBOL Copa América Femenina Futsal 2025™ are determined as follows:
Group A (Position A1): The Host Member Association (HMA) will be seeded as the top of Group A (Brazil).
Group B (Position B1): The current champion of the CONMEBOL Copa América Femenina Futsal 2023™ will be the top seed for Group B. If the Host Member Association and the reigning champion are the same, the runner-up of the CONMEBOL Copa América Femenina Futsal 2023™ will be the top seed for Group B (current runner-up: Argentina).
- Pot 1: The two highest-ranked Member Associations (based on the final ranking of the CONMEBOL Copa América Femenina Futsal 2023™) will fill Position 2 in each group (third place: Colombia; fourth place: Venezuela). The first drawn ball will go to Position A2, and the second to Position B2.
- Pot 2: The next two highest-ranked Member Associations (based on the final ranking of the CONMEBOL Copa América Femenina Futsal 2023™) will fill Position 3 in each group (fifth place: Paraguay; sixth place: Uruguay). The first drawn ball will go to Position A3, and the second to Position B3.
- Pot 3: The next two highest-ranked Member Associations (based on the final ranking of the CONMEBOL Copa América Femenina Futsal 2023™) will fill Position 4 in each group (seventh place: Bolivia; eighth place: Chile). The first drawn ball will go to Position A4, and the second to Position B4.
- Pot 4: The next two highest-ranked Member Associations (based on the final ranking of the CONMEBOL Copa América Femenina Futsal 2023™) will fill Position 5 in each group (ninth place: Ecuador; tenth place: Peru). The first drawn ball will go to Position A5, and the second to Position B5.
