  • Nicole Mancilla finished the tournament with 10 goals.
  • Angely Camargo scored twice.

Colombia earned a great prize this Sunday: they defeated Paraguay 4-1 after initially trailing 1-0, secured third place in the tournament, and qualified for the World Cup in the Philippines.

The best moments of the first half came in its second portion. In the 12th minute, Lorena Brítez scored a stunning goal from outside the area into the top corner, putting Paraguay ahead. Colombia’s top scorer, Nicole Mancilla, had a one-on-one opportunity in the 14th minute and did not miss, leveling the score.

Just moments later, Mancilla dribbled past a defender, but the ball got away from her. Camargo arrived just in time to strike it into the net, putting Roberto Bruno’s team ahead. At the end of the first half, Camargo completed her brace with a powerful shot from nearly midfield.

Early in the second half, Colombia sealed the victory with another goal from Nicole Mancilla, one of the tournament’s standout players, who finished the competition with 10 goals.

Paraguay ended the tournament in fourth place, while Colombia claimed third place and the final spot for the Women's Futsal World Cup.
