Argentina bounced back, defeated Uruguay, and finished fifth

Argentina wrapped up the CONMEBOL Copa América Fútbol Playa 2025™ in fifth place after defeating Uruguay 6-4.
La Celeste started better and took the lead at the end of the first period thanks to a counterattack that ended with Di Bello scoring the 1-0.
Argentina picked up the pace and scored three goals in each of the other two periods. Half of them came from Lucas Ponzetti, the standout player for La Albiceleste in the tournament. The No. 10 finished with seven goals in Iquique.
Uruguay had its moments, especially at the end of the second and beginning of the third period, but Mansilla and Gómez Polatti helped secure the win.
Two strong teams closed their participation in the tournament with a thrilling match and will now look forward to a rematch in the next CONMEBOL Copa América Fútbol Playa™.
