  • Mayra Ramírez, Linda Caicedo, and Leicy Santos scored for Colombia.
  • Claudia Martínez scored for Paraguay and remains the tournament's top scorer.

The opening 15 minutes featured both first-half goals. Both came from outside the box and were scored by top forwards: Linda Caicedo struck first in the 13th minute with a low shot that left Belotto with no chance. Just two minutes later, Claudia Martínez (the tournament's top scorer) netted her fourth goal of the competition.

Colombia dominated possession (76%) and created more chances, but couldn’t take the lead before halftime, which ended 1-1.

In the second half, Colombia’s pressure paid off: the other Colombian striker shining in Europe, Mayra Ramírez, received the ball in the box, turned skillfully, and scored with a powerful low shot to make it 2-1 in the 57th minute.

The two Colombian stars combined for the third goal: Mayra broke down the flank and delivered a cutback pass for Linda, who finished with her left foot – Arrieta deflected it into her own net. Near the end, Leicy Santos scored with a header to seal the win.

On Matchday 4, Colombia will face Bolivia, while Paraguay will play Brazil, the Group B leaders. Both games will take place on Tuesday, July 22.
