Chile defeated Colombia and will play in the World Cup for the first time
La Roja secured a 4-3 victory and claimed third place in the CONMEBOL Copa América Beach Soccer 2025™.

- La Roja will participate in a World Cup for the first time in its history.
- Colombians Pantoja and Clavijo finished the tournament with six goals each.
Chile, the host of the CONMEBOL Copa América Fútbol Playa 2025™, reached the tournament podium with its victory over Colombia and secured a spot in the World Cup in Seychelles.
They started behind in the third-place match. Clavijo, one of Colombia's standout players in Iquique, controlled the ball, shifted it to his left foot, and struck a low shot to make it 1-0.
Chile equalized a minute later and never trailed again. The match remained competitive, but Chile was always in the lead: 2-1, 3-2, and 4-3.
Albuerno scored a spectacular goal but also conceded an own goal. Pantoja, Colombia's other top scorer, reached his sixth goal, and along with Clavijo, he was the team's leading goal scorer under coach Alzate.
At the five-minute mark of the third period, Gabriel Bacian scored the goal that Chile will never forget. The goal that secured third place for Eduardo Medalla's team and, most importantly, their first-ever qualification for a Beach Soccer World Cup. Chile will be in Seychelles alongside Brazil and Paraguay.
