  • Colombia had a bye on the first matchday.
  • Pantoja and Clavijo each scored twice.

Colombia was the last team to make its debut in the CONMEBOL Copa América Fútbol Playa 2025™, after having a bye on Day 1.

The team, led by Santiago Alzate, started behind after a goal from Velasco and experienced an intense, back-and-forth first period in which the lead changed multiple times. The teams went into the first break tied at 3-3.

In the second period, the Cafetero team managed to take the lead thanks to goals from Pantoja and Clavijo, both of whom finished the match with two goals each.

At the start of the third period, Colombia scored twice in one minute, taking a 7-4 lead and seemingly sealing the game. However, Bolivia responded, first with a goal from Dahulon Zárate and then with a goal from goalkeeper Ortiz in the final minute to bring them within one.

Colombia, which qualified for the Beach Soccer World Cup for the first time in 2023, will face Uruguay on Matchday 3, while Bolivia—now with two losses—needs to recover when they face Ecuador.
