CONMEBOL Copa América 2024™ was an unforgettable tournament: 32 matches between June 20 and July 14, which ended with Argentina winning their 16th title in the competition.
After the tournament concluded, the best team was chosen with the following names:
Emiliano Martínez (Argentina)
The Argentinian goalkeeper conceded only one goal, saved two penalties in the shootout against Ecuador in the Quarterfinals, and was chosen as the best goalkeeper of the tournament. This was his second CONMEBOL Copa América™, and he won the championship in both.
Alistar Johnson (Canadá)
In the North American team's first appearance in the tournament, the Celtic (Scotland) defender was one of the best players on Jesse Marsch's team, which finished in fourth place.
Cristian Romero (Argentina)
The player from Córdoba formed a dream center-back partnership with Lisandro Martínez, protecting the Argentinian goal. At 26 years old, he is already a two-time champion of the tournament.
Davinson Sánchez (Colombia)
Besides having the best attack at CONMEBOL Copa América™, the Colombian team also had the defensive solidity offered by Davinson Sánchez, a starter in all the matches of the campaign in the United States. The 28-year-old central defender ranked among the best in interceptions (10) and clearances (25) in the entire tournament, in addition to scoring one goal.
Piero Hincapié (Ecuador)
One of the standouts in Ecuador's renewal was directly responsible for one of the team's goals in this edition (against Jamaica) and never stopped competing defensively. Hincapié was one of Ecuador's leaders in duels for the ball (32) and aerial duels (10) won against opponents, with one of the best success rates in the first aspect (64% success in challenges).
Rodrigo De Paul (Argentina)
A key player for the Albiceleste, the Atlético de Madrid midfielder played 5 matches in the tournament, contributed an assist, and covered a lot of ground in the midfield. This was his second star at the oldest national team tournament in the world.
Manuel Ugarte (Uruguay)
The Uruguayan midfielder started in all the matches that led Marcelo Bielsa's team to Third Place. He won 58 percent of the duels and had a 76% tackle success rate. He is only 23 years old.
James Rodríguez (Colombia)
The talented number 10 scored one goal and provided six assists (a record since 2011) on Colombia's path to reaching their first Final in 23 years.

The Argentinian played his seventh and final CONMEBOL Copa América™, achieving the record for matches in the tournament, scoring one goal, and lifting his second trophy.
Lautaro Martínez (Argentina)
The tournament's top scorer (5 goals) scored both in the opening match and the goal that secured Argentina's 16th title.
Raphinha (Brasil)
The Brazilian forward scored one of the most beautiful goals of the tournament against Colombia, from a free kick, and played in all four matches that the Verdeamarelha had in the tournament.
