Players who could participate in the CONMEBOL Copa América™ and win the Champions League

  • The qualifiers for the semifinals of the European club tournament have been determined, and there is a significant presence from our continent.
  • The final will be played on June 1st, 19 days before the year’s major event.

Between Tuesday, April 16th, and Wednesday, April 17th, the second leg matches of the Champions League quarterfinals were played. The semifinals were defined as Borussia Dortmund-Paris Saint-Germain, Bayern Munich-Real Madrid.

There are a total of 10 players in the semifinals who could play in the CONMEBOL Copa América Estados Unidos 2024™:

-Paris Saint-Germain: Marquinhos (Brazil), Lucas Beraldo (Brazil), Manuel Ugarte (Uruguay), and Keylor Navas (Costa Rica) are part of the french team. Marquinhos was a starter and captain in the second leg match against Barcelona, while Ugarte came on in the second half.

-Real Madrid: Vinicius (Brazil), Rodrygo (Brazil), and Federico Valverde (Uruguay) were starters in the Spanish team that defeated Manchester City, while Militão (Brazil) came on in extra time.  Nicolás Paz (Argentina) is also part of the squad although he has not yet made his debut in the senior team.
Rodrygo scored Madrid’s goal in the second leg match.

-Bayern Munich: Alphonso Davies is part of the German team and is also a key player for the Canadian national team, which qualified for the CONMEBOL Copa América™ for the first time. He did not play in the second leg match against Arsenal due to suspension.

Borussia Dortmund is the only one of the four teams in the semifinals without players who could participate in the CONMEBOL Copa América™.

Among them, Marquinhos and Militão already know what it’s like to win the CONMEBOL Copa América™; they achieved it with Brazil in 2019.

The Champions League final will be played on June 1st at Wembley Stadium (England). From June 20th to July 14th, the world will be captivated by the top football stars in the CONMEBOL Copa América Estados Unidos 2024™.
