- Vini opened the scoring for the Verdeamarelha against Albirroja
- He scored two goals in the same game for the national team for the first time in his career
Vinícius Júnior was one of the standout performers in Brazil's 4-1 victory over Paraguay: the Real Madrid forward scored twice in the first half against Albirroja.
At 35 minutes, in a wonderful play and during injury time, and pressing Paraguay's defense was how Vini scored in CONMEBOL Copa América 2024™.
These were his first goals in the oldest national teams' tournament in the world: he had not scored in the 2021 edition nor in Brazil's debut against Costa Rica.
It also marked the first brace with the national team for the player who emerged from Flamengo, at just 23 years old.
