South American Qualifiers: When and Where the Next Matches Will Be Played

Between September 5th and 10th, rounds 7 and 8 will be played on the road to the 2026 World Cup.

CONMEBOL Copa América™
  • Sebastián Beccacece will debut against Brazil in Curitiba.
  • Argentina, the champion of the last CONMEBOL Copa América™, will host Chile.

After the unforgettable CONMEBOL Copa América 2024™, South American teams will return to action at the South American Qualifiers on the road to the 2026 FIFA World Cup.


Between September 5th and 6th, round 7 will be played: Argentina will host Chile in Buenos Aires, Colombia (runner-up of CONMEBOL Copa América 2024™) will visit Peru in Lima, Ecuador—in Beccacece's debut—will visit Brazil, Uruguay will host Paraguay, and Bolivia will host Venezuela.


On September 10th, the eighth round will be played, which will feature a rematch of the CONMEBOL Copa América USA 2024™ Final in Barranquilla. Other matches include Chile-Bolivia, Ecuador-Peru, Venezuela-Uruguay, and Paraguay-Brazil.


Currently, Argentina, Uruguay, Colombia, Venezuela, Ecuador, Brazil, and Paraguay (in the playoff position) are in qualifying positions for the 2026 World Cup.

  • September 5th: Bolivia-Venezuela, Estadio Municipal de El Alto (El Alto, Bolivia)
  • September 5th: Argentina-Chile, Estadio Más Monumental (Buenos Aires, Argentina)
  • September 6th: Uruguay-Paraguay, Estadio Centenario (Montevideo, Uruguay)
  • September 6th: Brazil-Ecuador, Estadio Major Antônio Couto Pereira (Curitiba, Brazil)
  • September 6th: Peru-Colombia, Estadio Monumental (Lima, Peru)



Round 8




  • September 10th: Colombia-Argentina, Estadio Metropolitano Roberto Meléndez (Barranquilla, Colombia)
  • September 10th: Chile-Bolivia, Estadio Nacional Julio Martínez Prádanos (Santiago, Chile)
  • September 10th: Ecuador-Peru, Estadio Rodrigo Paz Delgado (Quito, Ecuador)
  • September 10th: Venezuela-Uruguay, Estadio Monumental de Maturín (Maturín, Venezuela)
  • September 10th: Paraguay-Brazil, Estadio Defensores del Chaco (Asunción, Paraguay)
