The South American Football Confederation announced that the opening match of the CONMEBOL Copa América 2024™ has achieved a resounding success in ticket sales, selling out all available tickets.
In this regard, more than 70,000 fans will be on hand starting at 8:00 PM (local time) at the Mercedes-Benz Stadium in Atlanta, which will also feature an opening show by one of the most prominent artists in the region.
“Selling all the tickets for the opening match highlights the significance of this football celebration. We hope that fans will enjoy this tournament from start to finish, which we have structured to ensure a unique and world-class experience,” said Alejandro Domínguez, president of CONMEBOL.

CONMEBOL Copa América 2024
The CONMEBOL Copa América 2024™ will be played in the United States and includes 10 teams from CONMEBOL and 6 invited teams from Concacaf. In this edition, this traditional tournament will be organized by both confederations.
The 6 Concacaf teams qualify through the 2023/24 Concacaf Nations League. The representative teams from North, Central America, and the Caribbean are the United States, Panama, Jamaica, Mexico, Canada, and Costa Rica.
In the 48th edition of one of the continent's most important competitions, this will be the second time in the tournament's history that it will host 16 teams, having hosted the same number of teams in its 2016 edition, also held in the United States.
Teams that have won 10 FIFA World Cup™ titles and the greatest stars of world football will take the field to play 32 matches in this edition of the tournament in June and July 2024.
