  • Brazil aims for a second straight final.
  • Uruguay dreams of its first-ever Olympic qualification.

It’s time to find out who will join the final of the CONMEBOL Copa América Femenina 2025™. Brazil and Uruguay face off this Tuesday, July 29, in the second semifinal of the tournament, at the Rodrigo Paz Delgado Stadium in Quito, Ecuador.

Winners of the last four editions, Brazil wants to return to the final of the competition it has historically dominated. Arthur Elias’ side advanced as Group B leaders, with wins over Venezuela, Bolivia, and Paraguay, before a draw against Colombia confirmed their top spot.

For this match, Canarinha will be without starting goalkeeper Lorena, who received a red card in the final group stage game.

Uruguay, meanwhile, is chasing a historic qualification that would earn them a place at the Olympic Games in women’s football for the very first time. Despite the tough challenge ahead, La Celeste is coming in with momentum after bouncing back in Group A with wins over Peru and Chile to secure their spot.

The winner will move on to the Grand Final on August 2 to face Colombia and also secure a spot in the Los Angeles 2028 Olympic Games. The defeated team will play the third-place match on August 1.
