  • Teodoro Fernández leads Peru's top scorers list with 15 goals in CONMEBOL Copa América™.
  • Paolo Guerrero and Óscar 'Huaqui' Sánchez are among the top scorers in the history of the competition.

Great scorers have been a big part of Peru's journey in CONMEBOL Copa América™, especially in the most successful campaigns in the history of the national team. The top scorer of the Bicolor in the competition is Teodoro 'Lolo' Fernández, one of the great names of the first Peruvian title during the 1939™ CONMEBOL Copa América. Over the years he registered 15 goals in 24 games in the competition, including the top scorer in the victorious edition of his national team.

Next is Paolo Guerrero, winner of the Golden Boot as the top scorer in three different editions (2011, 2015 and 2019): There have been 14 goals scored by the veteran in 26 games in the tournament, numbers that could become records at the 2024 edition in the United States.

'Huaqui' appears as Peru's third-highest scorer in the oldest national team championship in world football. Óscar Gómez Sánchez made a name for himself in the 1950s, with 11 goals scored in 17 appearances at CONMEBOL Copa América™: alongside Lolo and Guerrero, he appears among the top scorers in the history of the tournament.

Félix Castillo appears in fourth place for the Peruvian national team, which he represented in the same generation as 'Huaqui'. He had 8 goals in 21 matches, including 5 goals at the 1949 edition. Finally, Alberto Terry and Jorge Alcade have 7 goals each and complete the top 5 of the ranking of bicolor scorers – in 19 and 10 matches played, respectively.
