The last weekend of April featured strong performances from CONMEBOL Copa América 2024™ stars: Barcelona and Liverpool were crowned champions with a total of six players who had participated in the United States.
Barcelona wins the Copa del Rey
With Raphinha starting and Ronald Araújo coming on in the second half, the Catalan side defeated arch-rivals Real Madrid in the Copa del Rey final on Saturday. Barcelona won 3-2 after extra time. They are currently leading La Liga with five matches remaining and have also reached the Champions League semifinals.
Liverpool wins the Premier League
The English side beat Tottenham 5-1 and clinched the title with four games left to play. Alexis Mac Allister and Luis Díaz each scored a goal; both of them, along with Alisson, started the match, while Darwin Núñez came on as a second-half substitute.
