  • Jamaica's first appearance in the world's oldest national team tournament was in 2015.

On June 26, at Allegiant Stadium, Jamaica broke a tough streak: they scored their first goal in the history of CONMEBOL Copa América™.

A corner from the left, in the 53’, landed in Ecuador’s box. Pinnock shot, and after a rebound, Antonio made a half-turn to slot it in with his left foot against Alexander Domínguez’s post, thus halving the deficit for Jamaica.

The Central American team had participated in the 2015 and 2016 editions. Including the first match of this edition against Mexico, the Reggae Boyz went scoreless in 7 matches until Antonio managed to end that streak.
