The 2025 calendar for CONMEBOL national teams has come to an end: the final FIFA window of the year was played with positive results for our member associations.
Colombia and Chile won two matches each. Colombia defeated New Zealand 2–1 (goals from Puerta and Carbonero) and Australia 3–0 (James Rodríguez, Luis Díaz and Jefferson Lerma).
Chile beat Russia 2–0 (Gonzalo Tapia, Brereton Díaz) and Peru 2–1 (Loyola and Osorio for Chile; Valera for Peru). Peru had drawn 1–1 in their first match against Russia, with another goal from Valera.
Argentina played just one match, defeating Angola 2–0 with goals from Lautaro Martínez and Lionel Messi. Brazil beat Senegal 2–0 and drew 1–1 against Tunisia. Young talent Estêvão scored in both matches; Casemiro scored the other goal in the win.
Bolivia, who will play the playoff in March for a spot at the 2026 World Cup, lost to South Korea (0–2) and Japan (0–3).
Paraguay earned a win and a loss: 2–1 against Mexico, with goals from Sanabria and Bobadilla; and a 1–2 loss to the United States (Arce). Against the same opponents, Uruguay recorded a defeat (1–5 vs USA; goal from De Arrascaeta) and a 0–0 draw with Mexico.
Ecuador defeated New Zealand 2–0 with goals from Nilson Angulo and Leonardo Campana, and drew 0–0 with Canada. Venezuela lost 0–2 to Canada and beat Australia 1–0 (Ramírez).
Argentina, Ecuador, Colombia, Uruguay, Brazil and Paraguay are qualified for the 2026 World Cup. The group draw will take place on December 5.
