- Bolivia will fight for its qualification in March.
This Friday, December 5 at 1 p.m. Washington time (GMT -5), the 12 groups for the 2026 World Cup — to be played in the United States, Mexico, and Canada — will be drawn.
Argentina and Brazil are seeded, while Colombia, Uruguay and Ecuador are in Pot 2. Paraguay is in Pot 3, and if Bolivia qualifies through the playoff, it will join Pot 4.
The six CONMEBOL teams already qualified for the World Cup cannot be placed in the same group.
The tournament will be played from June 11 to July 19, 2026. Argentina is the reigning champion, while Brazil, with five titles, is the most successful team in the competition.
