Corinthians won their third consecutive CONMEBOL Libertadores Femenina title and the sixth in their history, after defeating Deportivo Cali 5–3 on penalties in the final held at the Estadio Florencio Sola (Buenos Aires, Argentina). The match had ended 0–0 in regular time.
The Timao featured four players who participated in the national team tournament held in Ecuador: Venezuelan Dayana Rodríguez and Brazilian champions Duda, Mariza and Jhonson.
Dayana Rodríguez, Duda and Mariza started the match, while Jhonson came on in the second half. Mariza and Jhonson (the fifth kicker) both took and converted their penalties in the shootout.
Luisa Agudelo, runner-up of the CONMEBOL Copa América Femenina™, made two saves against Corinthians and ranked as the third goalkeeper with the most saves in this CONMEBOL Libertadores Femenina (19 in total). It is the first time a Colombian team has recorded five consecutive clean sheets in the competition (according to OPTA data).
