Uruguay struck early and debuted with a win against Peru
Uruguay secured a 5-1 victory in its debut at the CONMEBOL Copa América Futsal Femenina 2025™.

- Scored a goal within the first minute.
- Scaletti netted twice.
Uruguay got off to a strong start in the CONMEBOL Copa América Futsal Femenina 2025™, defeating Peru 5-1 to lead Group B alongside Argentina.
La Celeste struck before the first minute had passed: a long-range cross-shot from Shamila González opened the scoring.
With the lead and solid possession, Lamanna's team extended its advantage through Scaletti after a quick throw-in play.
Peru did not pose much danger to Lupano’s goal until the 10th minute when, after a series of rebounds, Vásquez managed to pull one back.
Immediately, La Celeste regained control, pressing Peru’s buildup and extending the lead to 3-1 with a powerful shot from Álvez.
The second half saw a drop in intensity and few major incidents until the final five minutes when La Celeste sealed the win with two more goals (Suárez and Scaletti). Peru also suffered the sending-off of its captain Meza, who will miss Sunday’s match against Argentina.
Uruguay, on the other hand, will have a bye on Matchday 2 and will return to action on Monday against Colombia.
