Paraguay debuted with a win against Ecuador
Paraguay won 5-2 in its first match of the CONMEBOL Copa América Futsal Femenina 2025™.

Paraguay closed the first day of competition in the CONMEBOL Copa América Futsal Femenina 2025™ with an important 5-2 victory over Ecuador.
The team, led by Nadia Rojas, had Paola Brítez, number 10, as a standout figure. In just five minutes, the left-footed player had scored two goals: one from the right side and the other from the left. Always using her strong left foot, and always aiming for the corners.
In the final stretch of the first half, Paraguay extended its lead with a third goal from Paola Brítez and another from Jamila Acosta. Ecuador would get a goal back with one minute to go through Ochoa.
In the first minute of the second half, Paraguay struck again to secure the victory, once again thanks to Paola Brítez, the standout player of the opening day of the CONMEBOL Copa América Futsal Femenina 2025™. The number 10 also showed off a rabona and a bicycle kick during the second half.
With five minutes remaining, Ecuador scored its second goal through Jessica Quizhpilema from outside the area.
Paraguay, leader of Group A alongside Brazil, will have a day off this Sunday and will return to play on Monday against Venezuela. Meanwhile, Ecuador will look for its first points in the tournament against Brazil on Day 2 of competition.
