The first draw of the CONMEBOL Copa América Futsal Femenina 2025™ came in the tournament’s tenth match: in an entertaining duel, Colombia and Uruguay played to a 2-2 draw and now share second place in Group B.
Colombia opened the scoring in the fifth minute after a brilliant one-two between Mancilla and Salcedo, with the number 9 finishing into the net to score her second goal of the tournament.
Uruguay responded immediately with a goal from Naiara Ferrari, striking powerfully to equalize. La Celeste then took the lead through Scaletti, who received a pass from Ferrari and finished with a toe-poke to score her third goal in Sorocaba.
With just 20 seconds left in the first half, a well-executed Colombian counterattack ended with Mancilla one-on-one with the goalkeeper before passing to Jaimes, who slotted into an open net to make it 2-2.
The second half was tense, fiercely contested, and featured fewer goal-scoring opportunities than the first. Scaletti came close to giving Uruguay the lead, but the post denied her at the 10-minute mark.
The match ended 2-2, and both teams will look to make this point count in the next round. After a rest day, Uruguay will face Group B leaders Argentina, while Colombia’s third match will be against Peru.
