  • Mancilla scored the decisive goal.
  • Chile has two losses in the tournament.

Colombia had a bye in the opening round and made their debut this Sunday with a victory in the CONMEBOL Copa América Futsal Femenina 2025™.

The first half was evenly matched between Chile and Colombia, with few chances on either side and good saves by both goalkeepers.

The last minute of the first 20 minutes was thrilling: with less than a minute to play, Valencia made two crucial saves in a one-on-one against Ruiz. Then, the Colombian goalkeeper quickly released the ball, and Salcedo took a good shot that was saved by Rojas.

The second half started with the same energy as the first until the deadlock was broken: a failed clearance by the Chilean goalkeeper allowed Salcedo to score the opening goal.

Maira struck the ball from behind midfield, hitting it first-time after Valencia’s pass was cut off. It was Chile's first goal in the tournament, in their second match.

Colombia kept pushing: with two minutes remaining, Camargo had a good one-on-one chance, but Rojas managed to deflect it.

With just 25 seconds left on the clock, Nicole Mancilla took on her defender, shifted the ball to the outside, and fired a powerful, cross-shot to secure the win.

Colombia will play their second match of the tournament on Monday against Uruguay, while Chile will seek their first points against Peru.
