  • The reigning champion started with a great victory.
  • Emily and Camila each scored twice.

The host and reigning champion played a great opening match and beat Bolivia 9-1 to take the lead in Group A.

Breaking the deadlock was not easy for Brazil. They had ball possession and created chances but had to work to break the zero, which happened in the 8th minute. Lucileia moved and lost her marker on a free kick to receive the ball alone and score the first goal of the CONMEBOL Copa América Futsal Femenina 2025™.

Ana Luiza and Diana extended the lead. At the end of the first half, Emily converted a penalty, while López saved another. They went into halftime with a 4-0 score.

At the start of the second half, Amandinha was close to scoring her first goal, but the crossbar denied her. Shortly after, Camila struck a great left-footed shot for the fifth goal.

But the best player in the sport finally found the net: once again, the crossbar denied her after a shot from outside the box, but in the next play, she executed a great move to get past the goalkeeper and score her first goal of the tournament.

Emily and Camila each scored again, while captain Taty netted her own goal with a precise toe-poke. María Gálvez, on a counterattack, scored Bolivia's only goal of the match.

It was a 9-1 win for Brazil, who will face Ecuador on Sunday, the 23rd. Bolivia will look to bounce back on the second matchday against Venezuela.
